Lanka terms of use

These terms describe the basis on which you use Lanka (lanka.bot). Last updated on 24 October 2026. The service is provided by the Lanka team ("we"). Contact: support@lanka.bot.

1. What Lanka is

Lanka is a Telegram bot builder. You connect your own bot, created in @BotFather, and build its dialogs, broadcasts, Mini Apps and scripts in Lanka. The bot runs on your behalf, with your token.

By signing up or using Lanka you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. If you use Lanka on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may agree on its behalf.

2. Your account

  • Sign-in is through Telegram. You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Lanka currently runs in a closed mode: a new account gets access once an administrator approves it. We may refuse access without giving a reason.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens in your account, and for keeping your bot tokens, Lanka API keys and connected apps safe. If a key or token may have reached someone else, revoke it (an API key or a connected app on the Integrations page, a bot token in @BotFather) and tell us.

3. Your bots and their visitors

  • You own your bots, their content and their conversations with visitors. You are responsible for what the bot writes, collects and sends.
  • You process your bot visitors' personal data as the controller. Lanka processes it only on your behalf and only to run the bot (section 4 of the Privacy policy). You tell visitors what the bot collects and why, and obtain consent where the law requires it.
  • You follow the Telegram terms for bots and the Telegram Bot Platform Developer Terms, and the laws that apply to your bot.

4. What is not allowed

You may not use Lanka to:

  • send spam or broadcasts to people who did not agree to them;
  • mislead people, steal credentials or money (phishing, fraud), impersonate others;
  • distribute unlawful content, including child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, content that infringes others' copyright;
  • collect or sell personal data without a lawful basis;
  • attack or overload other services through scripts, fetch requests or Lanka's API, or circumvent limits;
  • interfere with Lanka, access other people's accounts or data, or probe for vulnerabilities without our consent. Report a vulnerability you found to support@lanka.bot.

5. Scripts, third-party services, the API and AI chats

  • Scripts and fetch requests in your flows run on your behalf. You are responsible for the data you send to third-party services and for those services' terms.
  • Lanka's API and the Claude Code plugin act with the rights of your API key. An AI chat you connected through Lanka's MCP server acts with the rights you gave it on the consent page. Whatever is written through them counts as done by you.
  • An AI chat writes flow and broadcast drafts. Publishing and sending them is yours. It changes bot data and panels at once, so check what you ask for. What the tools return to the chat goes to the chat's provider under its own terms (section 5 of the Privacy policy).
  • We limit request rates, the time and size of fetch responses, the session size and other resources. The limits may change.

6. Availability and changes to the service

  • In the closed mode we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and give no service level guarantees (SLA). We make daily backups but do not guarantee that no data is ever lost.
  • We may change, add and remove features. We announce changes that take away a feature you use ahead of time, where possible.

7. Payment

Lanka is free for now. Paid plans, when they come, will run under a separate public offer. We announce them at least 30 days ahead, and nothing is charged without your explicit consent.

8. Intellectual property

  • Your bots' content, texts, media, flows and data, is yours. You grant us the right to store, process and display it only to the extent needed to run Lanka for you.
  • Lanka, its code, design and name are ours. The Lanka plugin for Claude Code is distributed under the MIT license.
  • We may use your feedback and suggestions without any obligation to you.

9. Termination

  • You can stop any time: delete your bots in Lanka and write to us to delete the account.
  • We may suspend or delete a bot or an account that violates these terms, Telegram's terms or the law, or puts Lanka or other users at risk. Where circumstances allow, we warn you first and give time to fix the violation.
  • After deletion, data is removed within the periods described in the Privacy policy.

10. Liability

  • Lanka is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it suits your purposes or works without errors.
  • We are not responsible for Telegram, AI chats or the third-party services your scripts call, for your bots' content, or for their visitors' actions.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, except where the law does not allow such a limitation.
  • You indemnify us against third-party claims caused by your bot's content or by your violation of these terms.

11. Changes to the terms

We announce material changes at least 30 days ahead, in Lanka or through Telegram. If you keep using Lanka after the changes take effect, you agree to the new version.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. We settle disputes by negotiation first: write to support@lanka.bot. If we do not agree, the court at our location decides, unless consumer protection law provides otherwise.
