Getting started

Templates

Steps

  • Steps

The first step of a new flow: press "Choose first step type". The next step: press "+ Step" under the last one. A step in between: hover between two...

  • Message

The bot sends a message: text, optionally with a picture, a video or audio and buttons under it.

  • Reply keyboard

A message with a menu under the input field: the buttons stand in for the phone keyboard, and the person taps them like quick replies.

  • Placeholder

A "please wait" message — say, "⏳ One moment…" — that the bot's next message replaces in the same spot.

  • Temporary message

The bot sends a message, an album or a voice message, and deletes it from the chat once the set time is up.

  • Ask a question

The bot asks a question and waits for the person to type the answer. The answer is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

  • Ask for a phone number

The bot asks for a number and shows a button under the input field that sends it. The number is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

  • Ask for a location

The bot asks for a location and shows a button under the input field that sends it. The answer is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

  • Ask for a file

The bot asks for a file and waits for the person to send it. The file is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

  • Ask for a voice message

The bot asks for a voice message and waits for the person to record it. The voice message or a sent audio file is saved to a variable, and the dialog...

  • Pick a date

The bot sends a calendar and waits for the person to pick a day. The date is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

  • Poll

The bot sends a Telegram poll — a question with answer options people vote for.

  • Album

Several photos in one message (up to 10), like a Telegram album.

  • Send a voice message

The bot sends audio as a voice message.

  • Location

The bot sends a place on the map. The person taps the map thumbnail and opens the place in their maps to get directions.

  • Open link

A button that opens a link: a website, a channel, another bot, a file.

  • Button set

Adds not one button but a whole set of them, letting the person pick a value from a variable: products, doctors, dates, services. There are as many...

  • Button visibility condition

A button not everyone sees: it shows up only while a condition holds.

  • Launch Web App

Opens a Mini App — a page inside Telegram: a catalog, a booking calendar, a form.

  • Remove keyboard

Takes away the menu under the input field (the reply keyboard).

  • Share

A button to share a link with friends.

  • Copy text

A button that copies text to the clipboard: a promo code, a card number, an address.

  • Condition

Checks a condition and continues the dialog down the "Yes" branch when it holds, or the "No" branch when it does not.

  • Script

Calculate or change variables, call an outside service — with no reply to the person.

  • Navigation

Moves the person to another place in the dialog. The current branch ends with this step.

  • Switch

A path of its own for each value of a variable, plus an "otherwise" path for anything that did not match.

  • Check Subscription

Checks whether the person is subscribed to your channel and takes the "Yes" or "No" branch.

  • Delay

Stops the flow for a set time — seconds, minutes or hours — then continues with the next step.

  • Typing

Shows "typing…" in the chat for a few seconds (1 to 5), then moves on.

  • Reminder

Sends a message later — at a time relative to a date in a variable, or to the current time. The dialog moves on right away.

  • Notify

Lets you — or your channel or group — know what the person did in the bot. For example, when they leave a request or place an order, you get a message...

  • Announce

When the conversation reaches this step, the bot sends news to a chosen audience of its visitors or to your channels.

  • Forward a message

When the dialog reaches this step, the bot forwards the person's last message as it is: with its formatting, caption, photo, video or voice message.

  • How to let people into a private Telegram channel through a bot

The "Grant channel access" step lets the person into a closed channel or group, for a term or for good. When the term ends, the bot removes the person...

  • Revoke channel access

Removes the person from a closed channel or group and takes back the access the Grant channel access step gave them.

  • Payment in stars

The bot sends an invoice to be paid in Telegram Stars. The person pays in Telegram's window without leaving the chat.

  • Payment by card

The bot sends an invoice to be paid by bank card through a payment provider. The person types the card into Telegram's window. The money goes to the...

Variables and scripts

  • Variables and tokens

A variable is a named value the bot remembers and uses in the conversation.

  • Scripts

A script calculates and changes variables. The "Script" step runs it.

  • Secrets

A secret is an API key or a password the bot passes to another service in a request from a script. A secret is kept in the bot's settings, not in the...

  • Jobs

A job runs on a schedule. There are two kinds:

Visitors and broadcasts

  • Visitors

Here you see everyone who has written to your bot, and everything the bot remembers about them. From here you can write to a person as the bot or start...

  • Audiences

An audience is a saved selection of visitors, for example "those who came more than four times". Broadcasts and the "Announce" step use audiences.

  • Broadcasts

A broadcast sends a message to all of the bot's visitors, to chosen audiences or to your channels. It can go out right away or on a schedule.

Panels

  • Panels

A panel is a table over the bot's data: orders, requests, bookings or the visitors themselves. In it you can search, filter, change a status, run...

  • Schedule

The Schedule panel keeps working hours and bookings. From it the bot shows clients the free time.

  • Storefront

The Storefront panel keeps a shop's products and orders. From it the bot shows clients the products and their cart.

Claude Code

  • The Claude Code plugin

The plugin lets Claude Code read your flows and edit their drafts. You publish the changes yourself with “Publish”.
