Ask for a file

The bot asks for a file and waits for the person to send it. The file is saved to a variable, and the dialog moves on.

How to set it up

1. Write the request in the step's text.
2. Accept — a photo, a document, or either. To anything else the bot says what it waits for and keeps waiting.
3. Hint — grey text in the input field.
4. Save to — the variable the answer goes to. It stays with the person for good: next time the bot remembers it.

What you can do with the file

Pick this variable in the media field of another step, in "Notify" for example. The bot sends the file on.

If the person stays silent

Add the timeout branch ("No reply") under the step and set how long to wait. When the time runs out, the dialog takes that branch — to a reminder, for example.
