Lanka in your AI chat
An AI chat (Claude on claude.ai, ChatGPT or another that supports MCP) reads your flows and writes their drafts through Lanka's MCP server. You publish the changes yourself, in Lanka, with the "Publish" button. Or you turn on "Auto-publish" for the bot, and visitors see the chat's changes at once.
What a connected chat does
-
Reads your bots, their flows as documents with steps and texts, the bot's
app.*data, panels, broadcasts, linked channels and Mini Apps. It sees which editor page you have open. - Writes drafts of flows and broadcasts. A draft never reaches visitors until you publish or send it.
- Publishes only with your permission. The permission is the "Auto-publish" checkbox in the bot's settings. Without it only you have the "Publish" button.
- The bot's
app.*data and panels it changes at once, since they are not drafts. It writes only what you asked for and says what the value becomes. - The bot visitors' messages and personal data are out of its reach.
What you need
- A Lanka account with access: Lanka currently runs in a closed mode, and an administrator grants access.
- A chat account where custom connectors are available. On claude.ai that is the paid plans.
- No key: you grant access on Lanka's consent page the first time you connect.
How to connect on claude.ai
-
On claude.ai open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
-
Paste the server address:
https://lanka.bot/mcp -
Claude opens Lanka's consent page. Sign in to your Lanka account if you are not signed in yet. The page shows what the chat will be able to do. Click "Allow".
-
Go back to the chat. The Lanka connector appears in the list, and Claude can call its tools.
In another AI chat the connection looks alike: find custom connectors or MCP servers in its settings and paste the same address.
Tie the chat to the open page
Every open bot page in Lanka has a session with a name you can say out loud, such as quiet-cat. The chat button in the flow editor shows it.
Write in the chat:
Connect to the Lanka editor session-name
The chat calls the get_context tool and sees your page: the bot, the open flow, the selected step. From then on everything it writes lands on that page. With only one page open, the chat takes it without a name.
Then write in plain words: "add a Contacts button", "make a booking flow", "go to the payment flow". The changes appear on the Lanka page as a draft.
Review and publish
When the chat is done, it opens the review of drafts in Lanka and asks you to check them. You see every changed flow, check it in the editor and publish the ones you like. A draft you do not want can be discarded. What the chat changed outside flows (bot data, panels) it lists separately, with a link to the page.
With "Auto-publish" there is nothing to review: every change the chat makes is in the bot at once. The chat tells you what visitors see now. The checkbox covers your own edits in the editor too.
How to revoke access
Open the Integrations page in Lanka, find "Connected apps" and click "Disconnect" next to the chat. Its tokens stop working at once, and the chat asks you to connect again. Removing the connector in the chat's own settings has the same effect.
What exactly the chat can read and write, and what its provider receives, is described in the Privacy policy.
FAQ
Will the chat see my visitors' messages?
No. The tools hand out flows, bot data, panels and broadcasts, never the conversations with visitors or their contacts.
Can the chat break a live bot?
Flow and broadcast drafts do not affect the bot until you publish them. The bot's app.* data and panels change at once, so ask for such changes precisely and check the answer.
Do I need the Claude Code plugin?
No. The plugin and the MCP server do the same thing by different routes. The plugin works with Claude Code on your computer through an API key. The connector works in a chat on claude.ai without a key.
